Dentures

How can I benefit from dentures?

If you are missing several teeth, full or partial dentures may be recommended to restore your oral function and smile. Dentures are custom-made removable oral appliances and are divided into two main categories:
  • Complete dentures

Complete dentures can replace one or both arches based on individual needs.

  • Partial dentures

Partial dentures are typically recommended when you have some natural teeth remaining in your mouth. This type of denture features a thin framework or clasps that attach to your natural teeth, providing a more secure fit and improving the stability of the appliance.

Dentures are often used to replace missing or extracted teeth. Our dentist may either place dentures immediately after an extraction or after the mouth has healed. These dentures that are placed immediately after an extraction are called "immediate dentures."

The process of fitting dentures requires several appointments to ensure that they fit properly. This process will be explained to you at the time of your consult. Once your new dentures are ready, we will provide you with instructions on how to care for them to ensure they continue to fit well and function properly for many years.
